Volunteer at HighPointe
HighPointe Center relies on volunteers to maximize personal growth opportunities for our developmentally disabled clients.
For as little as a few hours a month, volunteers become an integral part of the quality care and tradition that make HighPointe a cut above. Our volunteers find they receive as much joy as they share.
“My two weeks at HighPointe really meant a lot to me because I am planning on majoring in special education. The two weeks have given me more experience interacting with people with special needs and it has definitely been the best experience so far! Each and every one of your clients is unforgettable and amazing! ” – Claire H.

Provide Direct Program Support
Adult Enrichment Program Onsite Teacher
Serve at the HighPointe Center facility as a teacher to help our clients develop a variety of skills including reading, employment skills, money management, and more. This is perfect for retired teachers or paraprofessionals working on their teaching certificates. You can volunteer as your schedule allows, although a commitment to at least 4-6 weeks would be best so you can get to know our clients well.
Adult Enrichment Program Onsite Assistant
Serve at the HighPointe Center facility to befriend and help people with disabilities participate in activities including games, crafts, music, and more. This is perfect for young adults seeking work experience or retired individuals looking to support their local community. Again, you can volunteer as your schedule allows.
Adult Enrichment Program Activity Preparation
Assist in preparing art, crafts, games, and other activities during the week before the Club meets on Friday. This work can be done from your home.
