Community Quest Program

COMMUNITY QUEST

The Denver metro area is made up of many diverse communities that are interesting and educational to explore. The HighPointe Services Community Quest program is designed to provide our clients with the opportunity to take a full day to learn about our communities in greater depth including their history, unique features of that particular community and the people who live and work there. The Community Quest Program is the only program that is out of the facility for the entire day. The outing starts at 9:30 and clients return at 2:30.

We believe in enjoying our community trips by focusing on three main categories:

  • Recreational: Features trips to various recreational locations including local parks, recreation centers, indoor fitness centers like climbing walls, ice skating and bowling.
  • Educational: Features trips to local libraries, museums, shopping and other unique locations in our communities.
  • Vocational: HighPointe is committed to helping our clients develop the skills needed to obtain employment at some time in the adult life. We know that volunteering is an excellent way to develop pre-vocational skills.

Unlike the other track programs which feature half day community trips to go along with the half day facility-based programs, Community Quest is designed to provide a full day outing for a large group of 10 clients. This program is designed for clients who attend only one day per week or need additional community-based outings to meet their specific service plan requirements.

Our programs are fully certified by the State of Colorado and overseen by the Departments of Human Services, Public Health and Environment and Vocational Rehabilitation.
